EXTEND OPPORTUNITIES AT FAITH COVENANT
Paint-A-Thon
This will be FCC's 3rd year of participation. In addition to doing the prep work and painting of our assigned house, we will also need volunteers to help provide foods & beverage, gather needed supplies, clean up, etc. You can contact Gene Splinter, Larry Schulze, and Tom Billigmeier who will be planning and organizing the various teams needed for another successful project that will not only impact the lives of the homeowner and his/her neighbors, but each of the volunteers as well. More information and sign up opportunities will be available at FCC in the next couple weeks. Each year, on the first full weekend in August, Metro Paint-A-Thon rallies volunteer teams from corporations, congregations, and civic groups to paint the homes of low-income seniors and people with disabilities.
Event Time: July 31-prep day, Aug. 7, 2010 paint day

Bridging opportunities
Since its beginning in 1987, volunteers have played central roles in fulfilling the Bridging mission. Whether you want to volunteer on a regular or flexible basis, Bridging offers meaningful and manageable ways to be connected. Opportunities vary according to warehouse location (Bloomington or Roseville) and availability in each department. Learn more about the individual opportunities at the website below. All volunteers must complete the Volunteer Profile prior to their start date.
Event Time: Individuals and groups can arrange volunteer times directly with the Bridging volunteer coordinator.

Second Harvest Heartland
You know about their food outreach program at FCC, here are other ways you or your community group can extend beyond the church's borders. Browse or sign up for volunteering on their web site. Volunteers are essential to Second Harvest Heartland's mission to end hunger. While food and financial donations are the fuel that makes Second Harvest Heartland operate effectively, donations of your time and energy are the engines that truly make a difference in the lives of our struggling neighbors.
Event Time: Independently arranged with 2nd Harvest volunteer coordinator.
