revolution. [rev-uh-loo-shuhn] noun. A sudden, radical, or complete change.

Purpose

The Revolution exists to passionately pursue teens in their world to know God, challenge them to become real followers of Jesus, and equip students to reach their world for Christ.

Philosophy

Successful Student Ministry is built solidly and solely on the Word of God, communicated through personal relationships, developed within a team ministry.  Teenagers need mentors—positive, adult, role models who will take time to talk with them and pray for them.

Gatherings

Sundays - Deeper

Sundays, we dig deep into the Bible and look at what it has to say to our lives. This is done through discussion groups, prayer, teaching, drama, music and video.

Wednesdays - Passage

These grades are a tough “passage” of life. That’s why on Wednesdays we search for truth in a world where it is sometimes hard to find. We discuss topics that teens can bring their friends to and use games, music, worship, drama, speakers, and small groups.

Retreats

Our fall retreat is designed to build friendships with leaders and peers, build trust, and build a relationship with God. We want to lay a foundation to build on for that school year. And have a ton of fun doing it!

Our winter retreat is designed to be an outreach retreat. We brainstorm ideas and create a theme for the weekend that is easy to invite friends to and encounter God. We romp in the snow, play broomball, go snow tubing, and many other activities that build great memories.

Special Events

Girls’ night out, guys’ night out, movie nights, concerts, sporting events, scavenger hunts, all-night parties, Christmas parties, Destination Unknown, ski/snowboard trips, canoe trips, camping, road trips, adventure trips, mission trips, service projects are just a few of the experiences we have each year.

Service Opportunities

Too many people think teenagers are selfish. Each year we provide opportunities to serve our world. Whether it's serving at a soup kitchen, raking leaves, or visiting a nursing home, we want to help our teens increase the reputation of Jesus Christ and Christ followers.

Check out the Revolution calendar for more information on the specific events.

Our Goals

Students in the Revolution will:

- have a relationship with God through Christ. (Mission/Apprentice)
- be growing spiritually individually and with a small group of peers (Worship and Community)
- know maximum freedom is found under God's authority (Apprentice and Community)
- have a positive self-image by understanding their identity in Christ. (Apprentice and Community)
- outwoard focus over self focus (Service)
- be concerned and reach out to people who don't have a relationship with God. (Mission)
