If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.” 2 Chronicles 7:14-15
Prayer is an essential component of the life of a Christian. By God’s grace, we are able to talk directly with Him, through Jesus Christ. We are God’s children, and our heavenly Father longs to talk with us. Through prayer we are able to share our inmost thoughts, concerns, joys, and burdens. We are able to seek wisdom and direction. We are also able to hear from God, as we take the time to listen.
Prayer is also essential to our life and work as a church body. It is vitally important to us that our Sunday morning services, our staff, all who enter our building, and those living in the surrounding community are all lifted up in prayer regularly.
Prayer Requests
Faith is a praying church with a heart for people’s needs, hurts, and challenges. Prayer team members are available to pray confidentially with you following each worship service, at the front of the worship center.
Prayer concerns can also be relayed to the staff and prayer team through:
Written requests (on the worship folder tear-off),
Email (care@faithcovenant.org),
A call to the Community Life office (952-890-0602), or
A call to the prayer chain (952-890-6749).
Prayer Engine
Our Prayer Engine meets three times on Sunday mornings to pray. Times are 8-8:50am, 9-9:50am, and 10:15-10:45am (all groups meet in the Community Life Conference Room). Please plan to join us regularly for this focused time of corporate prayer for God’s direction as a church body, as we seek to be His light to all who enter our doors.
Prayer Watch
Each Tuesday morning at 7am, a faithful group gathers to pray for our staff, our ministries, and our surrounding community. All are welcome! Plan to join us in Room 235 as you are able.
If you have questions or suggestions for other areas of prayer or would like to receive a listing of current prayer concerns via email please contact the Community Life Office at 952-890-0602.
